Why do I keep getting disqualified from surveys?
Updated
Each survey looks for a particular group of people and closes once it has enough of them, and your survey profile helps you find the surveys you fit.
A survey disqualifies you when the research company is looking for a different group of people, or already has enough answers from people like you. Completing your survey profile, answering the same way every time and trying more than one survey partner all help you qualify for more surveys.
Why do so many surveys turn me away?
Most surveys want a narrow group of people, and the usual reasons a survey turns you away are these, most likely first:
- You are not in the group the survey is studying. A survey might want only parents or only drivers, and it ends for everyone else after the first questions.
- The survey already has enough people like you. A survey stops taking people from a group once it has all the answers it needs from them.
- Your survey profile is not complete. Partners use your profile to show you the surveys you fit, so without a profile, more of the surveys you start are ones you do not fit.
- Your answers did not fit together. Survey partners run their own quality checks, and answers that contradict each other can end a survey.
- Your connection ended the survey. A VPN, or a connection that drops partway through, can end a survey before you finish it.
Research companies ask for some groups of people less often than others, so how many surveys you qualify for also depends on who the research companies need that day. A survey that turns you away has screened you out, and whether a screenout pays depends on the partner.
How can I qualify for more surveys?
- Complete your survey profile truthfully. Your survey profile is the biggest help you have. Answer each question with care, because you cannot change a saved answer on the site yourself.
- Answer the same way every time. Surveys compare your answers with each other, so answers that change from one survey to the next can end the surveys you fit.
- Read each question before you answer. A survey expects each answer to be given with care, so take the time each question needs.
- Take one survey at a time, in one sitting. Use a steady connection with no VPN, and finish each survey in the window you started it in.
Does answering differently help me qualify?
No, because changing your answers to fit a survey usually ends the survey later, when your answers stop fitting together. Giving false details about yourself also breaks our terms of service, so a survey completed that way can be rejected after its reward is credited.
When should I try another survey partner?
Try another survey partner when one partner keeps turning you away. Each survey partner works with its own research companies, so you might rarely qualify with one partner and often with another.
Every survey wall is listed below your surveys on the surveys page, and on your earn page under Survey walls. If every partner turns you away today, try the survey walls again tomorrow. New surveys are added every day, so an empty survey list fills again as new surveys arrive.
