Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things between pages and between visits, such as whether you are signed in or which language you chose. This Cookie Policy explains which cookies Earnit sets, what each one does, how long it lasts and how you can control them. It also covers similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage.

Every cookie is described by who sets it, how long it lasts and what it is for. A first-party cookie comes from us, and a third-party cookie comes from another service. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser, and a persistent cookie stays for a set period or until you remove it. The purpose decides whether a cookie needs your consent. Read this policy together with our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data in general, and our Terms of Service, which govern your use of Earnit.

Key Points

• We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in, remember your choices and protect Earnit.
• We do not currently use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics cookies that track you across the web.
• Optional cookies stay off until you allow them, apart from the exceptions we name under Functionality Cookies.
• You can change your choices at any time with the "Cookie preferences" control on this page.

These points are a summary, and the sections below apply in full.

We group our cookies by what they are for. Essential cookies are always on. Functionality cookies are optional and stay off until you allow them, apart from the exceptions named under Functionality Cookies. Your cookie settings also list Performance, Analytics and Advertising. We set no cookies in those categories today; they are there so that anything we add later starts switched off until you allow it.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are needed for Earnit to work, so they are always on and do not need your consent.

Cookie	Purpose	Duration
earnit_session	Keeps you signed in.	30 days
earnit_cookie_prefs	Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask you again.	1 year
earnit_oauth_redirect_to	Remembers which page to send you back to after a social sign-in. Cleared as soon as you land.	10 minutes

We also set short-lived cookies during sign-in to complete it securely, and we remove them once you are signed in.

Functionality Cookies

These cookies remember your choices so that Earnit works the way you left it. Turning them off costs you convenience, not access.

Some functionality cookies are written whatever your cookie choices say, and we name each one here. earnit_aff_code and earnit_campaign are written when you arrive through a referral link or a partner's link, because they are the only record of who sent you, and without them the person or partner who sent you cannot be credited. earnit_aff_code holds the referral code of the person who sent you, and earnit_campaign holds the partner's campaign name and the reference the partner gave your visit. earnit_ui is written when you change a layout or accessibility setting, such as asking for less motion, because you might need those settings on your very first visit, before you have answered anything about cookies. It holds those settings and nothing about you. Clearing your browser's cookies removes these cookies too.

Cookie	Purpose	Duration
earnit_lang	Remembers your language so the site loads in it next time.	1 year
earnit_currency	Remembers which currency you want your balance shown in.	1 year
earnit_aff_code	Remembers who referred you so that they get credit when you create an account.	30 days
earnit_campaign	Remembers which partner site sent you here so you can collect their reward when you create an account.	30 days
earnit_ui	Remembers your layout and accessibility choices, such as whether the chat and the live activity feed are open, and whether you asked us to reduce motion.	1 year

Browser Storage

We also keep a few preferences in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to us. earnit:sound-muted remembers whether you have muted sounds, earnit:sound-volume remembers how loud you set them, and earnit:chat:emoji-recents remembers the emotes you used most recently in chat, so that the picker can offer them first. They are written whatever your cookie choices say. Clearing your browser's storage resets them to their defaults.

When you sign in or open an offer, we also read information about your browser and device, such as its settings and capabilities, so that we can recognize the device and protect accounts against fraud and multiple accounts. The result is sent only to us, it is kept in a short-lived sign-in cookie only while a social sign-in completes, and the check happens whatever your cookie choices say. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use this information.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies come from a service that sits in front of Earnit, rather than from our own code.

Cookie	Set by	Purpose	Duration
__cf_bm	Cloudflare	A bot-management check by the network that protects and speeds up our site.	About 30 minutes

This cookie is essential, because it keeps Earnit reachable and protects it against automated abuse. It is not used to understand you or to advertise to you.

When you open an offer or a survey, the partner running it might set cookies of its own under its own cookie and privacy policies. We do not list those here, because we can neither see nor control them, and you can clear them through your browser. Our Privacy Policy explains what we receive from partners.

When you first visit Earnit, optional cookies stay off until you make a choice. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie preferences" control on this page, and we remember your choice for a year. Essential cookies cannot be switched off, because Earnit cannot work without them, and they are shown as always on so that the setting is not misleading.

You can also control cookies in your browser. Most browsers let you see and delete the cookies already stored, block new ones, block only third-party cookies, or clear everything when you close the window, and most let you do this for one site at a time. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of Earnit from working, most obviously staying signed in.

Under Swedish law implementing the EU ePrivacy rules, we may set non-essential cookies only with your prior consent, and strictly necessary cookies are exempt because we cannot provide the service you asked for without them. Withdrawing your consent is as easy as giving it, and it applies from that point on. Our Affiliate Policy explains how the referral cookie credits the person who referred you.

We may update this policy when the cookies we use change, when a category gets its first cookie, or for legal or technical reasons. When a change is material, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a new category of cookie needs your consent, we will ask for it, rather than rely on a consent you gave for something else. The tables above list every cookie we set, apart from the short-lived cookies we set during sign-in, which are described under Essential Cookies.

If you have a question about how we use cookies, or you think something on this page is wrong, write to privacy@earnit.gg and a person will look into it. For anything else, including help with your account, our support team is at support@earnit.gg. Earnit is operated by Geekbux Interactive, a company based in Sweden.
